Located about 10 miles from Shungnak and 128 miles northeast of Kotzebue on the Kobuk River, Kobuk is the smallest village in the district with a population of a little over 100 people. There are 5 teachers who offer subjects like art, music, technology, PE, and bilingual classes to about 44 students, 100% of whom are Alaskan Natives.
