About the Construction Trades Technology Career Pathway

Workers in the construction fields are responsible for creating the buildings where people in a community live, work and gather. Homes, schools, stores, office buildings and public facilities are built from scratch through the skill and experience of carpenters and other construction trades professionals.

WHAT IS NCCER?

  • NCCER is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) education foundation created in 1996 as The National Center for Construction Education and Research.
  • NCCER develops standardized construction and maintenance curricula and assessments with portable credentials.
  • Credentials are tracked through NCCER's National Registry which allows organizations and companies to track the qualifications of their craft professionals and/or check the qualifications of possible new hires.
  • NCCER's workforce development process of accreditation, instructor certification, standardized curriculum, national registry, assessment, and certification is a key component in the industry's workforce development efforts.

All ATC Construction Trades Technology Students learn:
